The Challenge

CVS Health needed real-time monitoring across 15,000+ servers powering thousands of retail pharmacy locations nationwide. Every server handling payment card data required PCI-DSS compliance with hard audit evidence. Manual monitoring at this scale was impossible.

What I Built

A heavily customized Zabbix deployment tracking 50,000+ items across the nationwide infrastructure:

• Enterprise Zabbix Deployment — One of the largest Zabbix implementations globally, customized for retail pharmacy scale
• Custom Dashboards & Alerting — Purpose-built dashboards, alerting rules, and automation scripts for proactive incident detection
• PCI-DSS Compliance Monitoring — Infrastructure security monitoring satisfying external PCI auditors
• 7,500-Server Migration — Led SCO UNIX to SuSE Linux migration across the retail fleet
• Core Infrastructure Services — DNS, SVN, NFS, MySQL, Apache, and CUPS serving 15,000+ servers
